Edwena Dunbar, MM, MBA/HCM
Mrs. Edwena Dunbar, an entrepreneur, educationalist, and motivational speaker is a native of Dallas, TX and currently resides in Clarksville, TN. She is truly committed to inspiring youth and young adults in the various communities she has encountered because she believes in their future.
Edwena attended The School of Education and Social Services at the Yvonne A. Ywell Townview Magnet Center in Dallas,Texas where she graduated at the top percentage of her class. She was an active member of several extracurricular activities and her greatest accomplishment was being named Miss Townview 2002 as well as Head Drum Major of the Big D’ Marching Band. She is also an active Alumni with the Townview Magnet Center where she ensures that students remain focused on their personal and educational goals.
She attended college at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Her school of choice allowed her to stay close to her family, her community, and still advance her studies on a college level. In the Spring of 2004 she was initiated in the Theta Nu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and still remains very active in the organization on chapter, state, regional, and national level. In 2007, she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics.
Edwena began her career path by focusing on her love for education and willingness to help others. She made an impact in the education industry as a mathematician and Educational Consultant. She expanded her skills as an entrepreneurial executive within the network marketing industry; and continues to broaden her horizons in business and higher education. She later earned a Masters in Management in 2010, and a Masters of Business Administration with a Concentration in Healthcare Management, in 2012 from the University of Phoenix. She empowers her working peers, young women and men, as well as youth to achieve their lifetime of visions in a personal brand.
On November 5, 2016 she married the love of her life Mr. Kennard Dunbar, an active duty Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Military Army Branch. Their love and bond for each other allowed her to build her brand larger scale of women, especially military wives to encourage them to build a family brand and focus on empowering each other. On April 22, 2020 the Dunbars welcomed their beautiful blessing, Kalia Imani Dunbar and December 13, 2022 the welcomed a 2nd blessing Kennard “KD” Dunbar, Jr.!
Edwena’s home church is The Exciting Singing Hills Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, and her current place of worship and service, is Christ the Healer Church in Clarksville, TN.
Mrs. Edwena Dunbar enjoys wearing several hats, being positive, being an entrepreneur and always willing to help others strive to reach their potential of excellence and success. She lives by two scriptures: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” and Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”. To make notation that she is spiritually led with a purpose in life.
With her foundation she began to Brand herself the idea to Live, Laugh and Love each day and decided to grow those thoughts into a business to LIVE, LAUGH & LOVE with ME “Edwena Monique”, growing three businesses in one.
